Alan Wake ‘The Signal’ DLC Detailed

Alan Wake’s first DLC was detailed this afternoon by Remedy’s Oskari Häkkinen as E3 2010 got underway. Beginning on July 27th, The Signal picks up right where we left off. For those that haven’t finished the game, I wouldn’t recommend reading on. Massive spoiler alert ahead!

Trapped in the belly of Cauldron Lake, our writer enters a dark subconscious mind and is slowly slipping into insanity. “Wake’s lost in a dark place, he’s going crazy!” said Häkkinen.

Thomas Zane, the mysterious writer in the game will play an important role, aiding Alan throughout his quest. The trailer attached to the announcement didn’t seem to give up much, showing us scenes those that finished the game will be familiar with.

The Signal is available free this July to those who purchased Alan Wake and will be continued by the game’s third DLC pack (The Writer) later this year.
