Action Packed Star Trek Trailer Released

At Sony’s E3 press conference, the company debuted a gameplay trailer for the recently revealed Star Trek. Just as Paramount Digital Entertainment teased in the game’s announcement several days ago, the new Trek title will offer an “unprecedented co-op experience” and retain all of the action associated with the J.J. Abram’s film.

Star Trek is being developed by Digital Extremes for the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.

Tomb Raider Reboot Looks Promising

Crytek’s ‘Ryse’ Revealed for Kinect

At Microsoft’s E3 press conference earlier today, Crytek (Far Cry, Crysis) announced Ryse, a Kinect-enabled action title based the Roman Empire. The trailer footage focused on the gesture based melee combat, which included hacking, slashing, and head butting.

At last year’s 2010 Microsoft Press Conference, Crytek showcased a teaser trailer for the game, which was known at the time as Codename: Kingdoms. Microsoft is publishing Ryse, but a release date and further details have yet to be announced.

Halo: Combat Evolved Remake Announced, Available November 2011

It was announced today that the rumored remake of Halo: Combat Evolved will be launching this holiday season for Xbox 360 with a dramatic visual overhaul. Dubbed Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, the game is much more than another rehash running at a higher resolution. This new reimagining of the original game will feature new art assets and an updated control scheme similar to more recent configurations. Read more »

Microsoft Demos Star Wars Kinect During E3 Keynote

After being teased as a concept at Microsoft’s Kinect reveal last year, gamers got their first look at the still in the works Star Wars Kinect this morning at Microsoft’s E3 keynote. Those in attendance got a live demonstration of the game, which looks to be an on-rails adventure and allows players to use intuitive gestures to do everything from swing their lightsaber to using Force powers. Ace Combat: Assault Horizon E3 Trailer Looks Familiar

Namco Bandai has revealed the official E3 trailer for the next iteration into the Ace Combat series, Assault Horizon. Straying from the original formula, Ace Combat: Assault Horizon seems to be taking a different approach to the series by adding attack choppers, AC-130s, and taking a few cues from some other successful military simulations. We wont name names or anything, but let’s just say that if you watch the trailer closely you might see a “Ghost” in one of those flying contraptions. Read more »

Payday: The Heist Brings Team Based Bank Robbery to PSN

Everyone loves some pre-E3 news, right? Giving us a little taste of what the future holds, The Official PlayStation Blog announced yesterday that a brand new downloadable first-person shooter called Payday: The Heist is in development for the PlayStation Network and PC. The game will allow players to engage in a crime spree spanning six high-stake heists, including bank robberies, prisoner extractions and armored car hijackings with the help of AI or through 4 player co-op. New Star Trek Game Announced, Debuting at E3

Paramount Digital Entertainment has announced a brand new Star Trek title that will be making its debut at E3 next week. In development by Digital Extremes (Bioshock 2, Dark Sector), the game is said to be a continuation of the J. J. Abrams’ 2009 Trek film and allow players to assume the roles of Kirk and Spock as they take down “a legendary enemy race bent on conquering the galaxy.” Read more »

Prey 2 Cinematic Trailer Unveils Dramatic Changes

When Prey was released back in 2006 it was met with relatively positive reviews. The game followed Domasi “Tommy” Tawodi after he, his girlfriend, and grandfather are abducted aboard an alien spaceship known as The Sphere. Tommy’s Cherokee past gives him the ability to let his spirit roam freely as well as receive guidance from the ghost of his childhood pet hawk, Talon, as he searches for his loved ones.
