Posted in Microsoft, Xbox Live by Nick on Wednesday 14 April 2010 5:14 pm
At midnight tonight gamers who are still clinging to their original Xbox titles will lose Live service. Though Microsoft gave the official warning months ago, it’s still sad to see the first successful online service for consoles slip into the history books. So bid adieu to the framework that helped set up the Live service you enjoy today and dust off those classic Xbox games because this is the grand finale.
Bleszinski Confirms Four-Player Co-Op
Posted in Gears of War 3, Xbox 360 by Nick on Wednesday 14 April 2010 3:40 am
Epic Games’ lead man Cliff Bleszinski wasn’t joking around when he said that the Gears of War 3 reveal was “the worst kept secret in video game history” last night on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. While maybe not the worst kept secret, it certainly doesn’t help your cause when Microsoft blows the show, right?
Fortunately he’s been fueling the hype machine via Twitter with some previously unrevealed information about Gears of War 3. Along with confirming Anya Stroud as the female soldier seen in the trailer, he also revealed four-player co-op for the single player portion of the game. Previously only two members of the team, Dom and Marcus, were playable in the series.
At long last we will be able to take control of the entire COG team during the campaign experience. Let’s hope this equates to a playable (bald) Augustus “Cole Train” Cole which is obviously the true motivation behind this move.
